College Green Public Exhibition Saturday 14 March 2020 - Cancellation Notice

Brick By Brick has given careful consideration to concerns about the spread of coronavirus and, as a result, have made the decision to cancel the public exhibition which was due to be held at The Chevening Hub, SE19 3EA on Saturday 14th March.

A leaflet will be delivered to local residents tomorrow and a poster will be displayed at the venue and on noticeboards in the tower blocks at College Green. If you have subscribed to Commonplace, you will also receive an email notification of this.

At the exhibition, we had hoped to share and discuss the changes we have made to our proposals, following the comments received at the public exhibition in November 2019. We’ve summarised some of the key changes in the list below:

You said the tower on Site A is too tall. We have reduced the height from 13 storeys to 11 storeys.

You said you would like to see a community space at Site A. We have introduced a community/cafe space on the lower ground floor which opens onto Westow Park.

You said you are concerned about parking pressures. We have decided to convert Site D into a 16-space car parking court and are exploring other ways to increase the overall parking provision at College Green.

A copy of the consultation boards that we were hoping to display at the exhibition on Saturday will also be available to download.

We are looking into alternative ways of conducting the public exhibition without the need to meet face-to-face and will update you on this as soon as we have a solution.
